PAWNBROKER OF THE YEAR
THE SEARCH FOR PAWNBROKER OF THE YEAR aims to recognize YOUR efforts in improving the conditions of YOUR community; emphasize your accomplishments; and highlight your contribution to the Pawnshop Industry and the country.
The Award hopes to inspire more pawnbrokers to be more involved in finding solutions and to challenge status quo through the services and/or activities that they render to the community which they belong.
A community-involved pawnbroker, makes a difference in the lives of the people they serve and in the cause they espouse. The Award also encourages pawnbrokers to uplift the image of the pawnshop industry. It aims to become a venue where each and everyone can share their experiences and practices in CSR.

Call for Nominations for 2010-2011 PAWNBROKER OF THE YEAR AWARD
The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2010-2011 PAWNBROKER OF THE YEAR AWARD is October 30, 2010.
The Pawnbroker of the Year Award is given to an outstanding PAWNBROKER whose work involves them with the quality service rendered by their establishment and who contributes substantially to the improvement of their community.
The PAWNBROKER OF THE YEAR AWARD will be presented at the CPPI NATIONAL CONVENTION & ELECTION ON December 5, 2010.
Specifications for nominations
- Nominated pawnbroker should be of outstanding character and reputation.
- A pawnbroker nominated for the Award should have substantial accomplishments and demonstrated exceptional effort, innovation, initiative, leadership, and excellence in providing service to his/her community.
- The award may be self-nominated; that is, a pawnbroker may nominate his/herself to the Pawnbroker of the Year Award.
- A bonafide and active member of the Chamber of Pawnbrokers of the Philippines, Inc.
Non-member may submit their membership application form to the CPPI Secretariat.
To recommend an award, please send the name of the pawnbroker and pawnshop and his/her qualifications, along with any supporting documentation like newspaper articles, personal testimonies, recommendations from prominent leaders, and a report of activities to the Awards Selection Committee.

CPPI National Convention & Election September 15, 2009 No Comments
Dear Fellow Pawnbroker:
Warm greetings!
This is to inform you about the scheduled CPPI National Convention & Election on December 6 (Sunday) from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Quezon City Sports Club. The discussion would focus on:
1. House Bills No. 5314
Exempting pledge of personal property covering a loan of money not exceeding PHP10,000 from documentary stamp tax.2. Imposition of New/Revised Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas Pawnshop Regulations
The business seminars are scheduled in the morning and afternoon. House bill no. 5314 will be discussed after the first business seminar and the Supreme Court decision on GRT and BSP’s regulation covering pawnshops will be discussed in the afternoon.
Again, do find time to attend this conversation so that we can directly address your queries and assist you on how to deal with the above-mentioned topics that will surely affect our pawnshop operations.

This is to inform you that our CPPI Mid-year conference is scheduled on June 29, 2008, Sunday from7:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Quezon City Sports Club, E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave., Quezon City.
